The Enterprise Gateway is a business-friendly entry point to engage the intellectual capital, innovative technologies and world-class infrastructure of Old Dominion University. The Enterprise Gateway, a part of the Center for Enterprise Innovation, includes the programs listed below. Created in 2010, the Gateway links the University and the Hampton Roads business community, offering resources, expertise and access to technology.
Center for Enterprise Innovation Programs
GOV2COM
GOV2COM is a new ODU Center for Enterprise Innovation program that helps government and defense contractors expand into commercial markets. Our programs include: Community of Practice, Targeted Commercial Programs, Corporate Accelerator, Commercial Competition, Intellectual Property Audit, and Prototyping Resources Center.
HRPAC
The Hampton Roads Procurement Assistance Center exists to assist area businesses in establishing themselves to bid competitively on federal, state, and local government contracts.
Technology Applications Center
The Technology Applications Center (TAC) provides superior engineering support in performance excellence and organizational management systems.
VBOC
The Hampton Roads Veterans Business Outreach Center (HRVBOC) is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and mentoring, and referrals for eligible veterans owning or considering starting a small business. HRVBOC serves Federal Region III which includes Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Women’s Business Center
The Women’s Business Center helps elevate women to business success through education, counseling, networking resources and entrepreneurial training. Our mission is to enable women’s entrepreneurship by providing the tools for women to successfully own, operate and grow their small business, thereby creating economic opportunities and job growth by investing financially, intellectually and emotionally in the Hampton Roads community.
